What to expect when you set up a meeting with a financial planner at Ambiton

In order for us to do proper planning for you and to give the best advice in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), we start by asking important questions and request relevant personal information to understand and meet your specific needs
Gathering the necessary information will enable us to assess and analyse your current situation in order to offer the best products at competitive premiums.

Our consultation will include the following discussion points:

  • We will complete a lifestyle questionnaire with you in order to obtain your personal information
  • We will determine your needs by completing a needs analysis to establish your personal or business risks.
  • Information on your current insurance and your claims / loss experience
  • We will explain the benefits offered by different products from our service providers.
  • We will explain the different types of cover to you to determine your insurance needs
  • We will explain the applicability of rate structures on different assets.

Following our consultation, we will consult with various Insurance Companies who we have partnered with and prepare your quotation according to your specifications and make contact with you. 

Personal lines clients can expect our feedback within 24 hours, and Commercial line clients within 72 hours.

Kindly note that we will require the following documentation in terms of the FICA Act

• Copy of your ID
• Copy of your Drivers Licence
• Proof of address / Utility Bill

Once the policy has incepted we will also need the following documentation

• Copies of vehicle registration papers
• Copies of jewelry valuation certificates
• Copies of Company Registration documents
