67 Minutes 2016 - Mattie's Place

Nelson Mandela once said “To deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity.”

Every year on his birthday, South Africa comes together to remember his legacy of serving others, and to celebrate by performing simple works which make huge differences in the lives of others. We at Ambiton are no different.

Ambiton Matties Place

This year our focus was on the frail and elderly. We visited Mattie’s Place in Despatch, where we served lunch to the remarkable seniors before spending a little quality-time with everyone. This was a truly humbling experience, and the warm smiles and “thank-you’s” received melted our hearts. We also brought along a few much-needed household supplies to assist the home in delivering their necessary service.

On the way back into town we popped into Anne’s Care Centre in Lorraine, who also tend to the needs of the frail. We delivered a few basic supplies and a little cake for afternoon tea.

Our staff’s amazing spirit and commitment to the day clearly reinforces Ambiton’s ethos that we vow to continue Making a Difference to the lives of everyone we interact with.
